The hotel is considered "sold out" for other groups or individuals, but they are making a special exception for AHA members and any rooms they have for the weekend are being held for us. We have had two instances in the past week where the hotel's system of managing over 3000 hotel rooms has shut down Friday stays based on the system programming. We then call the Riviera and they override the system. The Riviera has communicated to us that if you call on the room block for the four nights and it shuts you out to try again in a few hours or the next day(s). Our Riviera contact will be responding soon for the circumstance of Thursday to Sunday reservations, but it is worth trying now if that is your plan. See "other options" below for different lodging.
