Notice: My webserver decided to quit running Perl code recently…problem with that is that Foswiki is written in Perl.  The PHP and ASP.NET sites I run on my server still work, so after a little searching for a replacement (after first trying to get Perl running again), I'm porting the SNAFU Wiki over to DokuWiki.  Please be patient, as I've only somewhat automated converting TWiki/Foswiki markup to what DokuWiki expects.

I was able to port most users over to DokuWiki, but you've all been issued new passwords as I wasn't able to transfer those. You should've received mail if you were on the old wiki. There were about a half-dozen users whose email addresses bounced; if you're one of them, registration is now open.

Update (31 Aug 10): There was an error in the password hashes for most users; I've fixed that. You should now be able to log in with the information mailed to you.

Hot August Nights rules are up in our competitions page!

Hi! You found us! As it says above, we are SNAFU—the largest homebrewing club in Southern Nevada. Have a look around and check us out.

We hold meetings every second Friday of the month at the Freakin' Frog (see the events page for more details). Meetings start at around 7:30 PM. Our meetings are very informal. After taking care of club business, we just hang out and share each other's company and (of course) homebrew! Don't worry if you don't know anyone at the meeting. You won't be ignored! We promise!

Besides club meetings, we have many other activities for club members to participate in. We put on our annual Winterfest homebrew competition, as well as our club-member-only Sheldon Jackson Memorial Competition. We serve up club members' homebrew, promote our club, and promote the beauty of brewing your own beer at local and regional beer festivals.

Whether you're new to brewing, thinking of learning to brew beer, or an experienced brewer that's new to Las Vegas, SNAFU is for you! Feel free to join us at one of our club meetings.

Our website is a wiki! To make changes (for instance, if you want to add a recipe), you'll need to sign up at the registration page. You can drill down through the categories in the index on the left to get around the site.

Not everything has been ported from the old website to the wiki yet; you can access it here.
